How long should we plan our stay?
We suggest arriving Friday, June 28th and departing Sunday, June 30th. That will give you enough time to settle in, hang out, and enjoy what the area has to offer! If you are not planning to stay overnight, you can drive in and out the same day. We plan to hold our ceremony at noon on Saturday, June 29th.
Are dogs allowed?
Well behaved dogs are welcomed to roam the site. Rude boys need to be isolated in a crate or kept on a leash (looking at you, Charlie). We ask all dogs be put on leashes during the wedding ceremony.
What are the accommodation options at the Sawtooth Lodge?
If we have reached out to you about cabins, you can disregard the rest of this post. We will be sending you a code that allows you to reserve and pay for your cabin.
The Sawtooth Lodge offers cabins, yurts, RV sites, and meadows for camping. We have reserved the entire property including facilities for the weekend. However, this is a small site, and we worried that there would not be enough cabins for everyone who wanted one, so we have already planned out who will be staying in the cabins. We prioritized older family members, guests with babies, and friends traveling across the country. We have filled up all the cabins and yurts and most of the RV sites which means, currently, the only option for accommodations at the Sawtooth Lodge is camping or RV.
I'm bringing an RV! How do I reserve a spot?
If you told us you are bringing an RV, we have reserved a spot for you. We will assign you a spot when you arrive at the site. If you'd like an RV site but haven't told us yet, please reach out to us asap, so we can save a spot for you. The daily rate is $65 but we will accept any amount.
I'm camping! How do I reserve my spot?
If you decide to camp, you do not need to make a reservation. You can camp in one of the meadows or pretty much anywhere on site. CLICK HERE for the cabin map. Aaron and I will be accepting any cash/Venmo monies you'd like to throw at us for the sites. Typically, they go for $20 a night. If you are camping, you will have access to running water, bathrooms, and showers.
I'd love to camp but I don't have camping stuff or I can't bring all of it with me.
We will have extra tents, sleeping bags, and other camping gear on hand. Please let us know ahead of time if you'd like us to set some aside for you.
I don't want to camp. What are my options?
A. You can drive to and from the venue the same day from Boise, Stanley, Lowman, Sun Valley, Idaho City or any other nearby areas.
B. You can book accommodations closer to the venue in one of the areas mentioned above. If you decide to go this route, I'd suggest booking your room ASAP as these tend to get booked the closer we get to summer. Some of our guests are staying at the Sourdough Lodge which is in Lowman, a 15 mile drive from the venue. There are several hotels in Stanley, Idaho about an hour away. There's also a cute Tiny Home Resort in Idaho City about 60 miles away.
We really appreciate everyone being patient and flexible. If you need some help finding somewhere to stay because you are not from this area, please reach out to us and we would be happy to help you find the best option for your accommodation needs!
